What are your hours of operation?

Adbibo Coffee Company’s café is open Monday through Saturday, unless posted otherwise for holidays or special events. Store hours are posted here.

You can also find Adbibo’s fresh roasted coffee at many retailers in Virginia, many of which are listed here.

How long does Adbibo coffee and tea last in the pantry? How do I store it to keep it fresh?

Coffee is best used as soon as possible to experience the freshest taste. We take great care in our coffee packaging, using triple-layer air barrier bags designed for coffee storage. We package coffee shortly after roasting, nitrogen flush the bag to remove oxygen, and seal the bag quickly to protect freshness. Our retail bags have an open and close zipper which can be used to keep the coffee fresh in the bag by squeezing air out after use.

For optimal storage, place the bag in a cool place such as a cabinet, but NEVER in a refrigerator or freezer. Coffee is useable for several months if protected from air, however it does go stale quickly if left exposed. Whole bean coffee lasts longer than ground coffee so we recommend keeping it in whole bean form and grinding it right before use. When you notice a degradation of flavor the coffee is beginning to reach the point where it needs to be used up more quickly.

Tea stays fresh in an airtight container for up to two years after opening. Our tea arrives in nitrogen-flushed, vacuum packed bags that keep the tea fresh for ten to 20 years.

Adbibo Coffee Company has a variety of airtight containers in stock at the café for storing coffee and tea.

What do you do with coffee you do not sell at optimal freshness?

We take pride in selling only fresh roasted coffee in our café and our retail partners. At our retail partners (see listing here) we buy back our stock when it reaches an age we don’t believe represents our brand. In our flagship café we remove coffee from the shelf with the same standard.

Coffee that has been repurchased from our retailers or removed from our shelves which might still be enjoyed if used quickly is typically donated to local charity organizations.

Do you carry Kona coffee or Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee?

We do not stock Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee as it is very expensive and difficult to justify keeping in stock on a regular basis. On occasion, if there is sufficient demand and purchase commitment, we may bring a supply in. These coffees would average $35-$40 per 12 oz. bag if in stock.

Please note that most Kona coffee you see in retailers is a “Kona Blend” where the requirement is only for 10% of the blend to be actual Kona coffee bean.

Can I return items purchased at Adbibo Coffee Company’s café?

If you are unsatisfied with any purchase you have made with us for any reason, please contact us for an exchange. If you purchased the item in the café, please visit us and our team will be happy to assist you.

If you purchased the item through our website, please either visit us if you are in the area or contact us by sending an email to returns@adbibocoffee.com. Be sure to include your name, the order number, which item(s), how many units you are returning, and the reason for the return. We will reply to the email with instructions on how to send the items back to us, including a return authorization number. Please make sure the return authorization number is clearly marked on your package.

If you purchased an item from one of our partner retailers, i.e. a nearby grocery store, please visit the retailer directly to handle the return/exchange.

What if I need to cancel or change an order that has been placed online?

If you need to cancel or make a change to your order, please contact us immediately at sales@adbibocoffee.com or call (804) 464-2919. Be sure to include your name, the order number, which item(s), and the reason for the change.  If your order has not been processed, we will cancel and refund your order.  For orders with changes, we will help you create a new order to resolve the issue.  If your order has already been shipped, we will work with you on processing an exchange.

How will my order be shipped and when can I expect to receive my order?

In most cases, orders are shipped on the following business day. Shipping charges will vary depending on the weight of your package and your distance from Adbibo Coffee Company’s roasterie in Richmond, Virginia. Shipments are generally made via USPS Priority Mail.  Please allow up to four business days transit time. Tracking is limited for USPS Priority Mail.

Is your site secure for online ordering?

When you shop online with Adbibo Coffee Company, you can rest assured that your personal information is encrypted before it is sent through the Internet. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology that uses the most secure and up-to-the-minute encryption available in commercial transactions today. Our process makes it possible for your private information to travel to our server only and it cannot be read by outsiders.

How do I join the Loyalty Program?

You are automatically included in the Loyalty Program when you create an online account with Adbibo Coffee Co.  While you do not need to place an order to join, you will only collect points through ordering, or the occasional promotion we may run with our account holders.

I’ve created an account and joined the Loyalty Program, now what?

Thank you for creating an account with us, thereby joining our Loyalty Program.  For every $10 you spend online for coffee and tea (while you are logged in to your account), you will accumulate 1 point.  Once you have accumulated 10 points you may redeem them at checkout as a credit to your order where each point is equal to $1.  You will be prompted in the checkout process to use your eligible point balance (at the top of your screen).

A couple of notes for you to remember:

  • You must be logged in to your account in order to accumulate points
  • You can check your point balance anytime in your user account
  • Equipment purchases do not count toward point accumulation

I have a physical Gift Card from the Café or from a purchase. Can I use it online?

Unfortunately, physical gift cards cannot be used at our online store at this time.  Only electronic gift cards can be used online.  You can think of an electronic gift card like a coupon.  You can send somebody a gift card that has a set balance that the recipient can purchase against.  Once that gift card code is “used up”, the electronic gift card can be “discarded.”

I have an electronic Gift Card, now what?

You are a very lucky individual to have received a gift card!  Please visit our online store and select the items you would like to enjoy.  At checkout you will be prompted to enter your gift card code. 

 A couple of notes:

  • Do not discard your gift card code until you have used the entire balance.  You can visit the store as many times as necessary until you use the full balance
  • Protect your gift card!  The code is the equivalent of cash and cannot be re-issued
  • The gift card has no value outside of the online store and cannot be returned for a cash refund
